I<\/span>n a nutshell: this region is already worth a visit simply for its scenery. Finca el Cortijillo is in the village of Canillas de Albaida, in the Axarquia region. The climate is clean and fresh, which makes it ideal for outdoor activities and relaxation in unforgettable surroundings. The Mediterranean Sea, with its sandy beaches, is only about 10 kilometres away.On the mainland, the magnificent Sierra de Tejema, Almijara and the Alhama Natural Park have a magnificent backdrop: the La Maroma Mountain, which is 2065 metres high. Canillas de Albaida and the adjacent Competa have been selected among the most beautiful villages in Spain.<\/p>\n<\/div>

T<\/span>he Finca El Cortijillo’s kitchen uses local,seasonal produce and ingredients for breakfast and dinner. We know the best local producers personally and enjoy excellent cooperation with them. The menu concept is based on fusion food, combining the best ingredients and ideas from both Finnish and Spanish cuisine.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

W<\/span>e are Jaana and Juha Tiitinen, a Finnish couple and long-term devotees of Spain\u2019s Costa del Sol. We lived in Fuengirola for 14 years before moving to El Cortijillo. We have enjoyed trekking as a hobby for a long time, and this triggered the idea of \u200b\u200bmoving to the mountains and setting up a hotel. We loved the Axarquia Mountains and its nearby villages with their wine and fruit orchards. After a long search, we finally found our dream house and renovated it into a small, homely hotel. We also live here with our dog Toby.<\/p>\n

The most important thing for us is that you enjoy yourself and you are happy with your stay. We promise you a warm welcome, stunning views and a cosy and relaxed environment. Come and make yourself at home!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
